Movie Makeovers

I doubt there is much better in life than a beautifully-executed movie makeover scene. True, there are some close contenders - the 'getting stuff done' and 'changing room' montages that make you wish you could write a bestseller/ fix up a house/ lose 3 stone in the exact time it takes to play a foot-tapping, motivational interlude. But, let's be honest, they both lack that straightforward vacuousness that a classic makeover montage has woven into its very fibre. That air-punch moment that makes you wanna stand up and cheer for all things superficial. And most importantly, that key life philosophy that happiness is lipstick, hairspray and showing more skin.

Here are some of my favourite ever movie makeovers...

The House Bunny

Pretty Woman

Grease

Death Becomes Her

Clueless - we all knew this was gonna be the mother of all makeovers when Jill Sobule's 'I Wanna Be A Supermodel' kicked in.

Miss Congeniality

Mean Girls

Cinderella - the original makeover movie

The Devil Wears Prada

Talulah RIley as Annabelle Fritton in the 2007 version of Saint Trinians!
I quite like the fact that there are numerous makeovers in the same montage!
